(NASDAQ: FARO), the world’s leading provider of portable measurement and imaging solutions has been named Manufacturer of the Year by the Manufacturers Association of Florida (MAF), an award that recognizes FARO for its excellence in manufacturing, customer service and community involvement. The award ceremony punctuated the annual MAF Manufacturers’ Summit and Global Marketplace, highlighted by speeches by Governor Rick Scott and others, November 30th and December 1st in Orlando.

This award is recognition of those efforts, yes, but we are students of continuous improvement and I know our team is up to the challenge to take FARO to the next level.” Twenty-four judges narrowed the competition to sixteen finalists, and winners were chosen in four categories based on company size. Each company was judges on leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, performance measurement, process management and other criteria. Tours of finalists’ facilities were also conducted to determine the winners.
